The largest line dance in the world
The largest line dance in multiple locations took place in 2016 in China. 50,085 people took part in the synchronised line dance which took place simultaneously in twelve cities across the country.
Sports stadiums and public squares were filled with dancers all wearing the same red costume. The dancers were mostly from local line dancing groups and the event was organised by Beijing Redance League Technology Co. Ltd. The previous record was held by Standard Investment (China) Co., Ltd which counted 31,697 earlier in the same year.
The choreographed line dance took place at the same time with live linkups in Beijing, Shenzhen, Chongoing, Chengdu, Shenyang, Xi’an, Wuhan, Nanjing, Tianjin, Dalian and many others.
The same company was responsible for the world record for the largest line dance in one place in 2015 in Beijing with 18,431 people taking part.
