Most expensive cheesecake
New York restaurateur Raffaele Ronca’s cheesecake is the most expensive in the world. It takes five days to make and includes of white truffles, rare cognac, crunchy Italian biscotti and fresh vanilla.
The Ingredients:
- 200-year-old cognac ($2,500 per bottle)
- White truffles from Italy, sniffed out by specially trained dogs
- Freshly flown-in formaggio from water buffalo in southern Italy
- Fresh vanilla from beans imported from Madagascar
- Real gold flakes
The Price:
$450 per slice ($90 per bite)
$5000 for the whole cake
