Chimps are evolving and using spears to hunt

Evidence has shown that Chimpanzees are still evolving. They have been seen to use tools and in Senegal have been observed to fashion primitive spears. The chimps break a tree branch, usually about 2 feet (0.6 meters) long; then pull off any leaves and twigs, scrape off the bark and create a point by gnawing away at the tip. They would then use the ‘spear’ to hunt small lemur-type animals called bushbabies.
