Marilyn Monroe’s real name was Norma
Marilyn Monroe was born Norma Jeane. For her stage name Norma decided to choose her mother’s maiden name of Monroe. Ben Lyon, a 20th Century Fox executive, suggested Marilyn to be her first name as she reminded him of Marilyn Miller.
