What is chess boxing?
Invented in 2003. Chess boxing is a hybrid sport that combines chess and boxing.
A chessboxing fight has 11 rounds and always starts and ends with chess. The player wins the game if they beat their opponent at either chess or boxing.
The idea was started in 1992 by cartoonist Enki Bilal, and a match of chess boxing was a big story part of his graphic novel Froid Équateur.[1]
